Hydraulic Strand Jacks employ a technique derived from concrete post tensioning. Functioning as linear winches, they feature steel cables guided through a hydraulic cylinder. Anchor systems with wedges above and below the cylinder grip the strand bundle. Stroking the cylinder achieves lifting or lowering movement, reflecting the principle of post tensioning.
